Lodging

Reserve your room under the Gandhi-King Conference name for all group rates below.

There are three very affordable options for housing at First Congregational United Church of Christ for the Gandhi-King Conference within walking distance to the conference site.

Option 1: Individuals will be housed in the Pilgrim House Hostel.

Pilgrim House Hostel Room Rates:
Private Rooms: $25 per night for one person, $40 per night for two people
Shared Rooms: $15 per person per night

Linens are not provided. Please bring a sleeping bag, sheets, a blanket, pillow, or whatever you need to be comfortable. Directions to the hostel will be sent to you via e-mail when your reservation is confirmed.

Option 2: Groups will be housed in the Pilgrim House Retreat Center
Pilgrim House Retreat Center Rates:
$10 per person, per night.

If the Pilgrim House Hostel fills up, individuals can reserve space in the Retreat Center *IF* space allows.

Linens are not provided. Please bring a sleeping bag, sheets, a blanket, pillow, or whatever you need to be comfortable. Directions to the hostel will be sent to you via e-mail when your reservation is confirmed.

Option 3: The Fellowship Hall Floor
For $5 per night, individuals can reserve space on the floor of the fellowship hall. Please bring a sleeping bag or bed roll.

All three of the above options are located inside of First Congregational Church, 1000 S. Cooper Memphis, TN 38104. Directions to your specific lodging option will be sent via email when your reservation is confirmed.

If you have not received directions, your reservation is not confirmed.

The church is within walking distance of the conference site. It is located in the popular Cooper-Young neighborhood in the heart of Midtown. Restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are all within walking distance of the church.

$89 per night for a king bed, $110 for two double beds. AAA membership gives an additional 10%off. Rooms have a refrigerator and coffee maker, and a complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning. This hotel is on the trolley line that goes directly downtown.
